Over the weekend of April 26, the ebullient spirits over 60 members of the Pack 688 family managed to keep the forecast rain away Friday and most of Saturday. The hike along Cheaha Creek on the Chinnabee Silent Trail ended up being 6.2 miles as opposed to the advertized 5.2 miles. A healthy hike for those who chose to pursue it. Shared cobblers, Howie wandering from camp to camp with a plate of wonderful ribs, new friendships and connections made by siblings and parents all combined for a classic Pack 688 camping trip! As evening fell, the long threatening rain finally settled in. Perfect timing to add a touch of adventure to the trip.
